How do i choose the right career?
I have looked into so many career options but none of them seem to interest me. Any advice on how to choose the right career path?

I agree with Jerome and Jacob. Interveiw adults and see what they like/don't like about their jobs/careers. Keep a journal - write down things/skills you're good at and even things/skills you don't know how to do but want to learn. "Interview" adults about their careers and career paths. Interviews can be informal discussions - the goal is to find out about different jobs and careers -some of which you may not even be aware of! Sometimes we start by identifyin things we DON'T want to do or things/skills we're don't think we're "good at". That's a start too. You want to explore and learn about the possibilities.

It can definitely seem like everyone knows what they’re doing. However, your classmates (and college students and professionals) don’t have the plans you think they might. You are NOT behind! Ask to have 15-minute chats with people from different careers (friends, family, LinkedIn, etc.) And see what options spark your interest.

Everything will work out in the end. Some things to consider are:
1) Your values (kindness integrity honesty)
2) Your favorite activities in your free time
3) Your options
4) A step forward is a step in the right direction so as long as you’re exploring your choices you will discover your true passion along the way. Having multiple passions and careers is fine too!

I would say to a confused high schooler:
1) listen to your parents! They probably know best.
2) if you do business major in accounting.
3) choose something you think you’ll like to do but you’ll end up liking whatever you’re good at so choose something and work hard at it!
4) challenge yourself, don’t choose what is easy. Work hard.

It’s possible that there are many right paths. I’d offer to expand your definition of what is right. I’ve know people with multiple career paths and they genuinely enjoyed them at different stages of their life. Perspective will change in time.
With that being said, lean into talking with adults in your life, ask your teachers, and/or family to share more about what they do. What do they like and dislike about their role.
You can also take a career test online which may give you a few buckets of work that could make sense.

Jacob's advice regarding your natural strengths is a great place to begin gaining more insight into what strengths you posses naturally. This can be accomplished by taking an assessment and reviewing the resulting report to discover what feels natural to you. There are several assessments to consider. My favorite is StrengthsFinder, but find one you feel meets your needs. Once you have this information as a foundation, taking the career test as Jerome has suggested could provide a really robust roadmap for you.
