Katherine’s Answer

You could create a profile here (https://lessons.com/) or Thumbtack and see about advertising yourself as a tutor, and then if you ever get a lead sent to your phone or email, you could see if it would be a good fit for you. (For a high schooler, you might try setting your rates lower, but in general, those who charge for tutoring on those platforms are setting their rates between $50-$60 an hour, just for their time, so take that into consideration.)

Karen’s Answer

Take a look at volunteer websites to see if what you are looking for is available. If not, ask a teacher, neighbor, relative or friend if they know of someone who is willing to help.

With every good wish!

Paul’s Answer

I would check online to see if there are any non-profit organizations, in your region who need assistance with tutoring certain groups or classifications of students.

Also, there are websites that hire individuals to tutor online students. Each one has specific requirements for admission, but it could be worth investigating.

Fred’s Answer

Your high school may have a tutoring lab. Talk to one of your teachers or counselors and see if they have such opportunities. If not, see if there is somewhere you can post a flyer - physical or virtual - and offer your tutoring services to your peers.

Be sure you understand your schools policies on plagiarism to find out exactly how much help you can give. You don't want to run afoul of them and get you and your student in trouble.

Jerome’s Answer

Stat by asking teachers in those areas for help. Sometimes they may offer to assist or connect with study groups or teachers assistants that can help. I’d also check with your guidance counselor for support.
