Develop a concise elevator pitch that introduces yourself and highlights your skills, experiences, and career goals. Practice it until you can deliver it confidently.

3. Focus on a Few Specific Employers vs. Trying to Talk to Everyone
Understand that your goal isn't necessarily to talk to every employer at the fair. Instead, focus on connecting with a few companies that genuinely interest you.

4. Dress Professionally: Dressing professionally can boost your confidence. Wear appropriate attire that makes you feel confident and ready for a professional setting.

- What sparked their interest in their current role and/or company?
- What do they love and dislike about their role?
- What factors have contributed to their career advancement?
- What guidance would they give to someone interested in their role or in working at their company?
- What is something they wish they had known before embarking on their career?
- What has surprised them the most about working in their field?
- Were there any courses or learning opportunities that helped them prepare for their role?

It's a good idea to bring along several copies of your resume to leave with people at companies you're interested in. Don't forget to follow up by connecting with them on LinkedIn after the event. Most importantly, enjoy the experience!

Good question! As you approach someone, a warm hello and ask how their day is going. A casual comment about how you appreciate their being at the networking event will get you off to a great start. When you ask them questions it shows you are interested in what they have to offer. Ask if they have a business card and if you can email them with follow-up questions.

Of course, you thank them for their time before you leave.

Career fairs can be overwhelming! Here are some tips to network at a career fair:
1. Have a small pitch about yourself.
2. Have questions! People love to talk about their job. The best interviews and networking experiences I have had are where I talk less than the interviewer. The best way to do this is research a company before talking to someone and then being a good listener. Nod your head and continue to ask follow up questions to show you are an active listener.
