College campuses are a treasure trove of enriching activities and opportunities that students can dive into. Here are some of the most enjoyed activities that students often find appealing on college campuses:

1. Immersing in Classes and Academic Endeavors: The heart of college life is learning and intellectual development. By attending classes, contributing to discussions, and interacting with professors and fellow students, you get to savor the essence of the college experience. The joy of delving into a variety of subjects, broadening your knowledge, and chasing your academic passions can be truly fulfilling.

2. Becoming Part of Clubs and Organizations: College campuses are a melting pot of diverse clubs and organizations that cater to a myriad of interests and hobbies. By joining a club or organization, you get to connect with individuals who share your passions, acquire new skills, and engage in activities that you love. Whether it's a sports team, a cultural club, or an academic society, being a member of a club can significantly enrich your college journey.

3. Taking Part in Campus Events: College campuses are buzzing communities that host a plethora of events all year round. These events can range from concerts, guest lectures, and workshops, to cultural festivals and sports competitions. Participating in these events opens doors for social interaction, networking, and experiencing novel things.

4. Discovering Campus Facilities: College campuses often boast top-notch facilities that cater to diverse interests. You might find pleasure in using the fitness center, swimming pool, art studios, music practice rooms, or theater spaces. Venturing into these facilities allows you to chase your passions beyond the classroom boundaries.

5. Engaging in Sports and Recreation: Many colleges boast extensive sports programs that offer a variety of intramural and varsity sports teams. Participating in sports not only enhances physical fitness but also cultivates teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills. Moreover, recreational activities such as hiking, biking, or simply basking in the campus green spaces can be a wonderful way to destress and rejuvenate.

6. Making Use of the Library and Study Spaces: For students who cherish a serene and focused environment, the library and other study spaces on campus can be a sanctuary for studying, research, and academic pursuits. These spaces often provide access to a vast array of books, journals, online resources, and study materials.

7. Building Relationships and Socializing: College campuses are teeming with chances to meet new people and forge enduring relationships. Whether it's through dormitory life, student organizations, or social events, college provides a setting where students can form friendships, create unforgettable memories, and develop crucial social skills.

It's crucial to remember that individual tastes may differ, and what one person finds enjoyable on a college campus might not be the same for another. Hence, it's always encouraged for students to explore various activities and discover what personally appeals to them.

Hey Passion,

My favorite thing about a college campus is the plentiful things to do. There are so many different clubs, and experiences to be had. From greek life to sporting events there's just so many things going on at any given time. So much to be involved in, and there are things for nearly any interest. You really get to explore and be apart of, or at least try nearly anything you would like to do. Aside from just going to class of course. College is a very unique experience.

Hello, Passion !

My favorite thing to do on campus is be there !

When I visit a campus, I love taking in the environment. That includes the beauty of any surrounding mountains or rivers, the landscape design and how the buildings are laid out. I just get a special feeling whenever I am on a college campus.

During my time in college, one of my favorite things to do was go to the little eatery on campus and have lunch with my friends. I went to college in the somewhat olden days, so I also used to love going to the audio/visual building and listen to music for a Non-Western Music course I was taking. I also loved the library. We did not have the internet, digital cameras or camcorders or VCRs.

As a theatre major, I was happy to just be in the Theatre Building with my classmates and professors. We had a lot of good times, fun and laughs between classes in the Green Room. But the best thing for me was always to be on stage. Due to theatrical lab hour requirements as well as a Work Study job, I was in the theatre building about 7 or 8 hours a day, including attending classes there. The professors and classmates/friends were the best. It was truly my second home.

I also liked our bookstore. Back than, they only sold books and snacks, no tee shirts or trinkets as they do today.
So, there wasn't just one favorite thing, there were many good things that comprised the enjoyment of being a student.

Get involved early!! My favorite thing to do in college was attend the football games with friends. You could find friends in your classroom or dorm, create a study group, join greek life, or join a sport or club of your choice. This will help you find your community and make the highs and lows of college more amazing!

I loved college partially because of the friends I made through intramural sports! Depending on what sports/activities interest you, there are typically tons of different options to get involved in an activity which can be a great way to exercise and make new friends. I know my university had everything from competitive basketball leagues to casual board game nights.

My favorite memories of college come from being involved in different ways. There are a ton of clubs and social events you can go to and make new friends that might last a lifetime. I highly recommend student government or if you live on campus there is probably a resident hall association you can join. Similar to you Passion, I also had some great times in the library appreciated the quiet moments. Best of luck on your college journey!

Getting involved on campus can be a fun and rewarding experience! There are so many ways to participate. Some students love being part of Greek life, while others find joy in honor societies and pre-professional groups. Many students have a blast playing on intramural sports teams or going to exciting school-sponsored events. Those who are focused on their future careers often find great opportunities working on campus or helping faculty with academic research. What I loved most was making friends with people who shared my interests. Even after a decade, we're still close friends!

DANIEL’s Answer

Hi Passion,

College is a great place to start something new, make new friends, join a club/society you haven't been part of before etc. Don't be afraid to go outside your comfort zone! Trying something new can be extremely rewarding. And of course don't forget to have fun and enjoy the party!

Best of luck and enjoy,
Caitlin and Daniel.
