For me, it is watching the many students, who I mentored and taught, walk across the graduation stage each June and accept their diploma's.

Alyssa, teaching is about helping to shape lives, unleash potentials and build futures. I taught preschool aged children and college students, and found a true sense of self and purpose in both. These days, teaching isn't respected as it once was, and often the system makes it harder, rather than easier, for good teachers to do it the way it should be done. That's why we need caring, creative, determined young people to go into the field, for the sake of the next generation.
But... you can't become a teacher after high school. You'll need college, where you'll learn about child development and teaching methods and curriculum planning and special needs, and you'll gain valuable experience student teaching, leaving you with the knowledge and confidence to become that kind of teacher you want to be and children deserve.

Hello Alyssa,
As a novice teacher who's just wrapped up my first semester, my perspective might be a bit unique. One of the things I find most rewarding is witnessing students' progress. It's truly heartwarming to understand their starting point at the beginning of the year, and then watch them make steady strides towards their objectives.
Just a few weeks back, I was assisting a student who has a personalized learning plan for math. I couldn't help but beam with joy while working with him, because I had seen such a significant improvement in his abilities. He still needed some support, but it was a far cry from the level of assistance he required at the start of the year.
I wholeheartedly endorse a career in education, but I'd also encourage you to explore other avenues. Remember, you're young and the world is full of opportunities! Don't limit yourself to one career path when there are so many to choose from.
