Is grad school worth it?

What are the pros and cons of grad school? I'm thinking about majoring in occupational therapy- with that major, how seriously should I be thinking about grad school?

Angelina’s Answer

To become a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist you need a masters. So you should be seriously thinking about grad school if you want to be an OT because without a masters you have a bachelors that won’t do much for you.

David’s Answer

I think more and more fields are requiring -- if not preferring -- graduate school certifications. Not all fields are created the same, obviously, and as the previous answer notes, some of the medical related professions will definitely require advanced degrees. Anything that requires state board certifications, for example, often require advanced degrees.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!
