The average student loan debt varies by country, school, and degree. In the United States, borrowers who earn a bachelor's degree typically graduate with about $30,000 in student loan debt, though some borrow much more or graduate debt-free.
To reduce or avoid student debt:
Apply for scholarships and grants, which don't need to be repaid.
Choose an affordable school or attend a community college before transferring.
Work part-time or take paid internships to help cover expenses.
Create a budget and limit unnecessary spending.
Borrow only what you need, not the maximum amount offered.
Consider work-study programs if you're eligible.
Live within your means by reducing housing, transportation, and other living costs.
Planning ahead and making informed financial decisions can significantly reduce the amount you need to borrow and make repayment easier after graduation.

The average debt for an undergrad degree is about $35-40K. many ways to avoid:
1)work to pay tuition, may take longer to graduate but you wont have debt
2)always take out only the amount of student loan $ you need, never more. If you take the max, only use it for school related expenses and don't add more debt like credit cards
3)ask family to loan you money or for gift money to pay for college. If you are dedicated they may give you money as gifts and not loans
4)scholorships! many organizations offer scholorships. You will have to hunt and dedicate time to completing the requirements. But look and look. Many are out there and some you even qualify for they you don't know exist. Ask you school for help on finding these, they should be able to help you
