How do colleges teach you if your major is undecided?

I don’t know what I want to do as a career and I’m afraid that a good college won’t except me because they can’t put me into a category or they don’t have the courses for me. #undecided #college #college-major #academic-advising

College life usually begins with a core curriculum that all the graduates must meet. They will accept you and teach you without declaring a major in a specific area. I like this time in college for people who are undecided because it allows you explore the topics that are interesting for you. You should take those classes and really push your boundaries on what you take.

Typically schools (especially those following a liberal arts curriculum) will require to take classes in a variety of fields before you can graduate. While this seems like a lot of requirements, you can use this as a way to explore a variety of fields especially if you are undecided. By doing so, you aren't "wasting time" as more than likely you will need some of those types of courses to graduate, but you can also better understand your interests and turn that into your major. Hope this helps!
