We're choosing a career you must go with the career that you love to do. I have been a chef for 20 years and I love going my job every single day, being a Chef it's my Passion, my creative Outlet. So when choosing a career you must pick the career that you are passionate about nobody wants to go to work everyday and not like what they do. When it comes to making and career choice you have to ask yourself what you want out of life how far you want to go in life and what is the Legacy you want to leave behind. Go go after your dream it's not going to be easy culinary arts is a easy yet hard profession get into at first it is not a high paying career at first. Takes time to build up your reputation takes time to learn your craft the quicker you learn how do you work the more you're willing to learn your your career will advance fast. But once you get good and you earned that that name and you know what you're doing the sky's the limit.

Hello Naysia,

You can opt for an undergraduate degree in Culinary Arts because the career offers several job options where you will be able to have contact with the public at:

  • Restaurants, in private homes, in schools and Institutions, test kitchens, the caterers, pretty much anywhere there's a need for professional food services.

The expert culinary guides people through the preparation of meals and cadarpios, according to the need of people and institutions. In addition, there is a field of study in expansion (within the neurosciences) called neurogastronomia, who studies the effect of food on the senses of human beings.

Here are some links that may help you in your journey:

Hi Naysia,

When it comes to picking what you want to major in you have to make sure it's something you will enjoy doing for most of your life. When you think about it, we spend most of our days working, right? So make sure it's something you truly have a passion for and it won't feel like work at all! I don't have too much experience with Culinary but I did take a good amount of psychology classes in college and it might not be what you're thinking. When I took my first class i thought it would be a bit more like counseling i guess but it ended up having a lot of science to it. My suggestion, take a wide variety of courses during your undergrad and find something you like!

Hope that helps!
