Diane’s Answer

You have to commit to eating healthy, daily exercise and being disciplined to your goal. Eating right is 80% of reaching your goal. The professional athletes you see take care of their bodies, eat healthy and have professionals stretch out their bodies. You also have to take care of your feet by getting regular foot massages and pedicures. You have to read and re-read playbooks and study game films. It takes alot of dedication and it can be done.

Diane’s Answer

Pledging to a lifestyle of nutritious eating, consistent physical activity, and adherence to your objectives is paramount. Achieving your aims is largely dependent on proper nutrition, accounting for 80% of your success. Observe professional athletes; they maintain their physique, consume a balanced diet, and utilize professionals for body stretching. Equally crucial is foot care, involving routine foot massages and pedicures. Thoroughly reading, re-reading, and understanding playbooks, as well as analyzing game films, are also essential. This requires a significant level of commitment, but it is indeed achievable.

Deren, good question!

There are many things you can focus on in your journey to play pro ball. But it starts now!!

1. Recovery and nutrition. Put a focus on mobility, flexibility, injury prevention, and fueling your body. Exercise technique is important.
2. Learn your position and watch a lot of film. Technique, technique, technique. Put a focus on building on your strengths and weaknesses. Knowing your opponents strengths and weaknesses allows you to perform at a high level as well. Work with your teammates outside program hours. Learn to work together and be cohesive. Footwork. Spacing. Situational reps. Feedback. Keep it light. Avoid injury.
3. Spend a lot of time with your coaches. They are your number one resource.
4. Lead by example! Be a positive influence on your mates.
5. Time management is important. Be disciplined with your time and in the classroom. Your academics are what are going to get you into the school of your choice; along with your skills on the field.
6. Work just as much in the off-season as you do in-season (put a major focus on #1, 2, & 5).
7. Build your personal brand. Be involved in your community.
8. Keep your highlights updated (practice and game film). Reach out to football recruiters. Send questionnaires and applications.

Most importantly, have fun in the process!

Good luck!
