How understanding do you have to be to be a nurse?
I am 13, and I am in 8th grade. I love to play sports especially volleyball and basketball. I am interested in being a nurse and don't get disgusted or scared of any amount of blood shown to me.

This question can be tricky.
As a nurse, we have to understand all aspects of how the human body works, of how disease or trauma can affect or impair the functioning of the body.
We also must recognize the mental states of patients dealing with disease and trauma.
This may be the trickiest part!
We need to be compassionate, be good listeners and have empathy for others.
We need to be good teachers and be able to share our knowledge with our patients.
This all comes with being educated, learning how to do all these things.
I love being a nurse. I’ve learned a lot and that never stops!!
