How can I bring humor to my job as a computer builder?

I am 14 years old and want to become a computer builder but I want to become funny for my clients in the future.

Thank you comment icon Hi Cruz, this is an interesting question, and I want to make sure I am understanding correctly. Are you asking how to bring humor into more technical jobs such as computer building? Gurpreet Lally, Admin

This is a great question Cruz and I recommend you be very careful with this but it is great for everyone if you can provide a little mood lightening humor to the job. Not everyone is good at it and you need to be a bit careful not to go overboard or be offensive. If not careful, it can cost you credibility or more. Don't do too much!
BUT this said, if you can just make co-workers laugh or even just smile occasionally, it really helps. And they will love you for it. BE SUBTLE. Know that word? Look it up. Good luck.

Injecting some humor into your computer building routine can definitely lighten the mood, make the workday more fun, and even connect with customers better. Here are some tips to get you started:

Tech Puns and Jokes:

Gear up for some laughs: Have a few tech puns or jokes on hand related to common problems or parts. For example, after diagnosing a RAM issue, you could say, "Looks like your computer's memory is a bit rusty, let's get it refreshed!"
Customer Cautions: When giving warnings, use a humorous twist. Like, "Be careful not to spill your coffee on this motherboard, it's not very waterproof...yet!"
Self-deprecating Humor (carefully):

Poke fun at yourself: You can make light of minor mishaps or mistakes. Dropped a screw? Say "Oops, looks like gravity is working a little too well today!" But avoid making anything sound unprofessional.
Celebrate Victories (with a twist):

Funny Fanfare: When you successfully fix a tough problem, announce it with a flourish. "And the winner for 'Most Stubborn Computer' goes to... this one! But fear not, justice has prevailed!"
Customer Interaction:

Funny Nicknames (with permission): Give silly but appropriate nicknames to troublesome parts you're replacing. "We'll be evicting this noisy culprit from your system today," referring to a faulty fan. But always get the customer's okay first!
Gaming References: If your customer is a gamer, make a playful reference to their favorite game. "Looks like your computer needs a health potion, let's get it back in the fight!"
Remember:

Read the Room: Make sure your humor is appropriate for the customer and the situation. Avoid anything offensive or that could be misinterpreted.
Respect the Customer's Needs: While humor can lighten the mood, prioritize fixing the problem efficiently.
Let Your Personality Shine: Don't force jokes, use humor that feels natural to you.
By incorporating these tips, you can add a touch of humor to your computer building routine and create a more enjoyable experience for yourself and your customers.

When it comes to business interactions you tend to want to avoid humor as it can have people take you less seriously, especiallly when it's an investment in a expensive piece of equipment.

Not saying you can't be warm and inviting, stay professional you can have a laugh or two but when it's someone's computer....jokes aren't really recieved as well lol. Would recommend sticking to personal building...
