What are the benefits of the CSS profile?

The CSS profile is another form for financial aid. Some colleges require it now when you apply for financial aid. I just want to know how it differs from FAFSA. #financial-aid #finance #college #admissions #scholarships

CSS is a great resource for matching you to thousands of available scholarships and other financial aid. It is free to sign up. They may require your and parent's financial information to better place you in these opportunities. I recommend signing up.

To get financial aid, all colleges and universities in America requires the FAFSA. CSS is optional and not required by all (from my experience - mainly private schools) and can provide more financial aid if you qualify. CSS is definitely more in-depth so it takes longer to complete. It also costs money to complete whereas FAFSA is free.
