Those articles should keep you reading for a while.
Follow blogs like Copyblogger, and sign up for your school's newspaper or magazine. That's how I got started writing. You have to start at the bottom, and work your way up. =)

Like some others here have mentioned, to become a successful writer, first, start writing. Seek out any and all resources to identify the type of writing you prefer. Do you want to write fiction novels? Do you want to write advertising campaigns? Do you want to write and help create apps? From your initial question, it looks like you are interested in writing novels. Think about the writers you like, first. Is it their style of writing you really like? Is it their particular manner of storytelling? Start by trying to emulate their styles. You'll learn a bit about what your style is by trying to recreate or write in the same style as another writer. Seek out those writers' advice, if you can, online. Find blogs, find their bios, learn about their influences.
There are a ton of online groups - on Facebook, Medium.com, Slack, etc. - that you can join to connect with other aspiring writers or professional writers of all types.
Also, be sure to always proofread your own work, before you share it out with the world.
