Hailey’s Answer

Your mental health and taking your time off is necessary. Taking a break when needed is important. I try to leave work at work as much as possible. Spending some time outdoors helps me destress. Spending time with my family and reminding myself the reason I do what I do.

Maureen’s Answer

Yaasmin, Excellent question. Since kindergarten, I have been an actor in plays. I love theatre. Now I work more backstage than on the stage but it is a great outlet! Since nursing school, all my past work, family and friends ask, "Are you still doing theatre?" My answer is always, "Yes." You might have a past-time or hobby or sport that you love...keep it up. A professor of mine during ethics class advised us to have a sport we could perform into retirement (I swim). This is another healthy way to relieve stress.

Managing work-related stress is crucial for your well-being. First Prioritize tasks, practice self-care activities like exercise and meditation, and communicate openly with others for support. Remember to set boundaries between work and personal life and seek help if needed. Taking care of yourself is key to succeeding in your studies and future career. ;)
