How should I prepare for an interview for an on campus job?

I’m really eager to land an office assistant role on my campus. While I always do my best in interviews—maintaining good eye contact, staying calm, and speaking steadily—I've noticed that even though they seem to like me, I haven't been selected yet. I appreciate any advice or tips that could help me improve and succeed in these opportunities. Edit: I got the job! Just waiting to hear back about training. Thank you all for the advice!
