About
My name is Christopher Jerell Edwards, MPH, MA-C, and I've dedicated my life to the intersection of public health, clinical care, and community empowerment. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education & Promotion from Mississippi University for Women and recently completed my Master of Public Health degree. Along the way, I became a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and have worked in diverse healthcare settings, including family medicine, emergency departments, and clinical research.
What drives me is a passion for bridging the gap between patients and the healthcare system. Too often, people leave the doctor's office confused about their care plan or struggling to manage chronic conditions without enough support. My mission is to change that. Through my company, BridgeWell Health, I help individuals and communities enhance their health literacy, prevent disease, and take charge of their wellness in ways that align with real life.
I'm also preparing to begin Physician Assistant school, where I plan to combine my clinical training with my public health background to provide whole-person care, especially for underserved populations. My vision is to practice medicine with compassion, cultural awareness, and a focus on prevention, serving not only individual patients but also the broader community.
Beyond my professional journey, I value mentorship, collaboration, and lifelong learning. I know firsthand how important it is to have role models and guides, so I want to use CareerVillage to both share what I've learned and connect with others who are striving to make an impact in healthcare, public health, and beyond.
I'm always available for questions here on CareerVillage or through my professional site on LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/cedwards06
