What to say during interview?

I have an interview on Thursday for Dutch bros coffee and I'm tired of being layed off. Is it something I'm saying or not saying? What do they really want to hear? How can show I'm the one for the position for the money for the company and for the people and of course for myself. Is there anything I do or ask or say to be better. They know this is not my first job and I'm currently working already. I am a senior in high school. And why do I always hesitate when they ask how many hours would you like to work a week lol? How many am I?

Honesty is the best policy" in a job interview, meaning it is generally considered the most beneficial approach to present yourself truthfully about your skills, experience, and qualifications to build trust with potential employers and increase your chances of getting the job; exaggerating or lying about your abilities can backfire and lead to negative consequences later on.

INTERVIEW
Most interviews start with introductions, handshakes, and casual conversation. Remember that the interviewer may be nervous too! This conversation helps everyone relax a bit. Be energetic and enthusiastic, smile, and offer a firm handshake. It is fine for you to initiate the handshake. If you are meeting someone who is unable to shake hands for some reason, it is still polite for you to offer your right hand. Your handshake should be firm and solid, but not bone-crushing or too gentle.

Sit up straight in the chair, leaning forward occasionally. Look the potential employer straight in the eye, because good eye contact means that you are interested in the person and confident in yourself. It is fine to smile and laugh during the interview, as long as it is appropriate.

The interviewer may give you a lot of detail about the job, or he or she may start by asking about you. Many times job interviews turn into conversations and that is fine. Feel free to ask questions throughout the interview. Remain composed and enthusiastic to show how well you work under pressure.

Hi Jordan I wanted to add to the above answers some things to think about after you have the basics down.

Don't forget that you are interviewing them too! If you have in mind a few things a job must have for you make sure to pay attention to any information said about those topics like for example you really need a part time job since you are in school make sure they are really looking for someone part time. Part time is less than 40 hours a week and full time is 40 hours or more. Make sure you decide how many hours you want to work before the interview to avoid hesitating.

Ask some deeper questions than you have in the past like why is this position available now? or Why do you have space on your team currently? Look out for signs that the interviewer is trying to gloss over the real reason. Perhaps there is high turnover due to poor work conditions or a boss that is too perfectionistic. Perhaps someone quit out of frustration, burn out, or anger and in that case you might feel the same way in that position. Assess if the interviewer is trying to make a good impression on you by making light of certain aspects of the job that will be really hard once you're in it.

Are they desperate for workers? If they are willing to hire you on the spot or they are rushing the process that's a good sign they are desperate and it might not be a good fit. Down the road they may find someone full time and then no longer need you resulting in you being laid off.

Be sure to do a little research on the company in the news as well, seek to answer these questions: Is the company doing well? Has the stock been increasing? Have they been opening or closing stores? This will help you understand if the company can really afford you and maintain you as an employee in the future.

Lastly think back on the times you were laid off, what were the common themes? Are there any areas you can work on as an employee? This might be hard to admit but it's worth it to ensure you don't get laid off in the future.

When asked why you want to work there, try to connect to their core values or to other info you can likely find online. Let them know you want to move up long-term and ask about career opportunities.
