How do I guarantee that I can get the most scholarships I can to minimize how much I pay when I finish college?
I'm planning on attending USF for a Biology major -- any recommended scholarship sources or specific scholarships I could apply for -- particularly merit-based.

Hi Amanda,
Did you know that as a Florida student, you have access to a college planning tool called Xello? Xello has a scholarship feature that helps you find and apply to scholarships. Be sure to ask your counselor about it if you did not already know about this tool!
To get the most scholarships all you have to do is keep applying! Look for local scholarships- they tend not to be as competitive because not as many people apply to them.
Here are a few

My best advice is to never stop looking for scholarships! There are many you can apply to, even during college, not just as an incoming freshman. Talk to the USF financial aid office or keep an eye on their scholarship page for more scholarship opportunities!
If you plan to live on campus, you can look into becoming a resident advisor after your first year. As a resident advisor, your housing is covered.
You can also look into part-time jobs with companies that offer scholarships/tuition reimbursement. Places like Taco Bell, McDonald's, and Chipotle offer education benefits to part-time workers.
As a Biology major, you could also look into a part-time job at a hospital that pays or helps with tuition, like Orlando Health

You can talk to USF's career services about part-time jobs that offer scholarships.
I know applying to scholarships can be a lot of work, but don't give up! There are many opportunities out there!
