I want to major in nursing and eventually become a nurse practitioner. If I want to open my own practice one day, should I minor in business?

I’m a senior in high school, and I will be attending a four year university in the fall of 2025.

I agree with Michael. Minoring in business will provide you with a sound foundation early on, so you can enter the space of healthcare leveled up. That foundational knowledge likely will better prepare you when you are in the work environment to ask questions, pick up on things sooner, and ultimately learn more while working in the clinical capacity.

There will be distractions and challenges along the way, so it's important to remind yourself of your ultimate goal and yes, never give up. It is important to develop a good support system and network of those you can learn from and cheer you on! You can do it!
