Ira Preston’s Answer

As a young man in college, I tried to stay up late and cram. I would drink a whole pot of tea to keep myself awake. That's what college students do, right? My friends were doing it all around me. This is especially true if you live in a dorm room, and it is hard to go against what everyone else is doing. I eventually learned that to study effectively in college, the most important thing is to get plenty of sleep. It is tempting to stay up late, or even stay up all night, to cram ideas into your head, but this works against you in the long run. You can only learn -- actually put knowledge into your long-term memory -- when your brain is rested and free of stress. Staying up late actually alters your brain chemistry and makes real learning almost impossible. When you get ready to sleep, make your room as dark as possible. You should also set your phone so you do not hear notifications while you are sleeping. That trick will also serve you when you sit down to study. Keep your phone from distracting you. Plan how you will study and for how long. You could read for 45 minutes to an hour. Then get up and take a short break to let your brain rest. After several periods of study and rest like this, you could reward yourself with some phone time or a cup of noodles. It is best to study in several short sessions over several days, rather in one long one. Testing yourself periodically is helpful too.

Thank you for your question. Firstly, you need to find a time management tool to help, eg Google Calendar, MS Outlook, phone calendar, etc
Below are my suggestions:
1. Put down the time you need to attend classes
2. Assign some time every day on your assignment, projects, etc. Review the material covered in the lessons on day. If you have any questions, ask the tutor in the next tutorial.
3. Make sure you have enough time to sleep and do some exercise
4. You may need to assign more time for revision before assessment
5. Form study group with your classmates would be helpful to deepen your understanding on the material.
Hope this helps! Good luck!
May Almighty God bless you!
