What made you choose to go into nursing ?

I’ll start first:
I decided I wanted to be a nurse after seeing the nurses that took care of my grandmother. They were so great and caring I truly idolized them.

Mohammed Mejbahuddin’s Answer

Choosing to become a nurse is more than just picking a job—it's often about following a calling. Nursing is built on kindness, strength, and a strong promise to care for others, especially when they are most vulnerable.

As a nurse, you'll be the calm voice in the middle of chaos, the one who speaks up for someone when they feel ignored, and the strength they need when they feel weak. The difference you make might not always show up in charts or test results, but in a grateful smile from a family, a comforting hand during a tough time, or making someone's life a bit easier just by being there.

Nursing is tough both physically and mentally, but I believe that the joy of helping someone through a hard time is huge.

I hope you choose nursing as your career and give it your all.

Adaobi Maryann’s Answer

Dear Brandi,

Nurses are wonderful people with selfless qualities toward others. This is a unique feature of the healthcare profession.

One thing is certain: in order to continue to thrive in this field, you must have a natural desire to help sick people recover.

It is a good thing that the nurses who cared for your grandmother inspired you to pursue a career in nursing.

My decision was motivated by a strong interest in human health. Seeing the joyful expressions of those who have recovered from illness makes me happy.
