Before a scholarship(s) can distribute your scholarship funds, you need to provide proof you are enrolled in a college, university or vocational school etc. Your funds will be sent directly to the institution after you submit your proof of enrollment. The scholarship(s) you accepted upon graduating from high school will be held in your name for no more than 16 months after June 30th of the year you graduated from high school, the 9th grade is too early.
GPA IMPORTANCE
Your grades from freshman through senior year all matter for scholarships. Colleges and scholarship committees consider your entire academic record, including your first-semester senior year grades, to evaluate your potential for success in college and to assess your eligibility for financial aid. A consistent history of strong grades, especially in core academic courses, is crucial for scholarship applications and for maintaining merit-based scholarships or financial aid.
SCHOLARSHIP TIMELINE
Many scholarships have deadlines in January, so the sooner you begin the more you will have a chance at winning. Ideally, you should begin searching for scholarships during your junior year, around mid-year.
• RESEARCH THOROUGHLY — Before applying for a scholarship, students should research the specific requirements and conditions of each scholarship program.
• MEET DEADLINES — Scholarship applications often have strict deadlines, so students should plan accordingly.
• BE PREPARED — You should gather all necessary documentation, such as transcripts and letters of recommendation, before applying for scholarships.
TYPES OF SCHOLARSHIPS
Each scholarship provider is looking for different skills or interests. A winner must meet all of the standard criteria required for the scholarship, but also distinguish himself from the rest of the applicants. Read about the scholarship and try to determine what exactly the scholarship provider is looking for so that you can emphasize your related qualities in your essay or cover letter. If you don't meet the criteria exactly you shouldn't apply. Scholarship offers typically receive thousands of applications. Anyone who doesn't meet the requirements is typically disqualified.
• MERIT BASED — Most scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit; thus, students distinguished by academic excellence, participation in extracurricular activities and involvement in community service have the best chance at receiving one of these rewards.
• LOTTERY SCHOLARSHIPS — On the other hand, are chosen at random, meaning every student who applies has an equal chance of winning.

Hello, Kahlid !
There are scholarships that American high school students can apply for to go towards their high school education. You did not give enough information as to where you live, what type of high school you attend and why you need a scholarship for High School. Please ask your question again and give the town and state that your high school is in.
The High School attendance scholarships have very specific guidelines for who qualifies. Keep in mind that this is just a generalized bit of information because in order to apply a scholarship to high school, you would have had to provide the type of school you'll attend and details about your plans. I'll talk about examples of High School attendance Scholarships just so you can get an idea and basic overview.
There is the Lift Orlando’s EmpowerEd Scholarship awarded to 18 high school students that live in Orlando, FL who plan to go to an Ivy League College. There is the ScienceSaves High School Video Scholarship for making a video about science and applying in your senior year. A cute one is called Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest for which the student makes their prom outfit with Duck Tape. The Sharing is Caring Scholarship requires you to use the Scholarships360 website and every time you refer a friend who registers there, you're entered to win a scholarship. For the Minecraft Scholarship the student just has to be passionate about Minecraft in order to apply.
As you probably already know, scholarships go towards schools that have Tuition, such as a Private High School and even Homeschooling. If that's where you'll be attending, you can apply for the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program for students that live in Georgia in grades K-12 Private school that has tuition. There is also the AAA Scholarship Foundation that can pay for private high school tuition and supplies up to grade 12. There is also the Opportunity Scholarship program for high school students that attend a private high school in North Carolina. If you live in Arizona and go to a private school that charges tuition. you can apply for the Arizona School Choice Trust available for low income families. So, you see, you really need to state your exact circumstances. There are scholarships to use for mostly Private Schools as well as Homeschool for high school.
You can do a search online, refining the search with details. There does seem to be help if you'll be at private school that has a tuition, but if you'll be at Public School, visit your school district office to see if there are any very specific fees you need help with and see if the school has any contests or awards they give for specific activities that you would need money for. The main purpose for using scholarship money in high school would be that the Private High School is charging tuition. If you are in public school, check to see if your school does a Backpack Program where you can get a free backpack filled with school supplies. Also ask if they do a toiletry program like this, too where you can get free items.
I hope this general and non-specific information is enough to start you in your searches. I wish you all the best !
