I am interested in learning how CareerVillage works and the data it uses.

Professionals sign up as volunteers and provide information about their background and career topics they are knowledgeable in.
When a question aligns with a professional's expertise, they are notified. Volunteer professionals answer the student questions, offering personalized insights, real-world wisdom, and practical guidance. Multiple professionals can answer the same question, providing diverse perspectives. All advice is reviewed by trained moderators for safety, quality, and appropriateness.
All questions and answers are made publicly available on the platform, creating a large, open-access reference source of career advice that other students can benefit from. This aims to be a "Wikipedia of career advice" – a universally trusted source of information.

College students (amongst other groups) have questions for certain groups that have experience and advice.
Professionals give quick advice without taking too much time - direction, ideas, encouragement etc.

Jack, based on what I understand, the CareerVillage platform is basically a platform that professionals can share their experiences, ideas, answer questions, and/or provide advice to young people around the world. I believe that most come from low-income communities, but it is not limited to that as I have given advice, suggestions, and/or shared my experiences with people from all over the world. I also think it a great place to learn about a career or career path that a student may be interested in. I do hope that my answer helps you.

- As Shay mentioned, you can search existing questions and answers, meaning you can often get instant advice. You could also using Q&As to refine your questions.
- There are other resources such as the new COACH AI to help you with resumes, preparing for interviews, etc. (see link below)
- Also, there is a blog / articles with further information about navigating college and beyond
