Have you looked into websites such as LinkedIn and Indeed as well? Sometimes they post opportunities that you might be interested in. Schools should be able to provide connections to opportunities as well. Or sometimes you can look directly at companies' websites that you are interested and see what they offer! You can also reach out to recruiters, as having this connection can also help put your foot in the door for that job opportunity.

Hi Saniya'

Your department has a whole page on the different careers and the different sectors/agencies within the criminal justice system:

https://ncat.edu/cahss/departments/criminal-justice/intern-job.php

Those are options for internships.

For Greensboro and Guilford County, I find these opportunities:

https://www.greensboro-nc.gov/departments/police/community-engagement/internships
https://www.guilfordcountync.gov/internship-application-and-waivers/open
https://www.gcpublicdefenders.org/internships-and-jobs
https://www.greensboro-nc.gov/departments/people-culture/important-employment-information/internships

You find some more links below. Plus you can use websites like Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter etc to search for internships based on your interests.

I hope this helps! All the best to you!

Nicole S.’s Answer

Your internship or job search will depend on which area of criminal justice interests you most. Based on your courses—Corrections, Courtroom Testimonies, Investigative Photography, and Courts & Judicial Process—here are several paths and strategies to consider:

Network with Professors: Ask faculty members for connections—they often know professionals in the field who take interns.
Job Boards & Career Fairs: Check platforms like Handshake, Indeed, and attend career fairs to meet potential employers.
and more.

Nicole S. recommends the following next steps:

Identify Your Focus: Decide if you’re more interested in law enforcement, forensic investigation, legal work, or corrections.
Use University Resources: Connect with NC A&T’s career services office for internships or job postings tailored to criminal justice students.
Leverage Alumni: Reach out to NC A&T alumni on LinkedIn or through alumni events. Many graduates are willing to mentor students or provide internship leads.
Local Agencies: Look for internships with city/county police departments, probation offices, or correctional facilities.
Federal Programs: Explore federal internship opportunities on USAJOBS.gov or programs with the FBI, U.S. Marshals, or Department of Justice.
