Joyce’s Answer

That is a real candid question. I suppose we all ask this question from time to time and see if we can come up with a new answer everytime!

If you think of job as mundane, repetitive work that generate a source of income. That is true. But if on top of that, you're doing something you are passionate about, I suppose the feeling of working too hard goes away proportionally. If you find a hobby or something you're passionate about, you will find yourself asking more questions about it. As you're trying for find answers for your questions, you will find yourself not minding the extra path you've taking to get the answers. And the more you do the work, you better you get at it. Things that seem hard in the beginning won't be as hard anymore. And you can even make a change in the way to solve your problems and build new structure, simpler path for others. It's all tied in together.

You probably don't need something so passionate you have to die for right now to get started. But start somewhere. Learn what motivates others and learn how they get there. You will find out more about yourself as you hear other people's path too.

Don’s Answer

Hello Sabrina,

It is very hard to find a job that you don't have to work hard for because it would not really be a job, lol. If you are interested in fashion I would definitely suggest you to take steps to become one. There are many different things you can do like taking classes, practice your design/styling, study fashion history, look for possible internships or entry level positions, create a portfolio and build a resume. Best of luck to you!

Michelle’s Answer

Hello, Sabrina !

There is no job, career or field of work in which one makes a lot of money for doing very little work. You've mentioned that you're interested in becoming a fashion designer, but anyone could tell you that that is A LOT of work. The work transcends making the clothing and branches out to very heavy networking, attending fashion shows and with that wonderful career does come hassles and fashion events and many serious future fashion people attend Fashion School for a Bachelors Degree where they will learn hands on the skills as well as how the business is run. You cannot handpick what happens in your future career, you just have to have a strong enough passion for it to not care about obstacles or lots of work and be willing to learn how to manage those things when they come up.

There's no career you can start with that fits what you're requesting, but if you work hard and start obtaining Passive Income, you could eventually, later in years, collect money for doing nothing, yet have great responsibility involved. These passive income ventures are like buying rental properties and collecting rents from tenants (a high probability for hassle), being a shareholder in a company and collecting dividends from stocks, also Real Estate Investment Trusts which allow investors to earn returns from real estate without directly owning property. Another passive income are royalties - licensing photography or artwork through stock platforms allows creators to earn royalties each time their work is used.

Each passive income opportunity starts with you doing a lot of very busy, hard work, so eventually, you can collect money from what you invested in and worked hard for.

If you are serious about not wanting to do a lot of work, give yourself some time to think about your present and future and see what steps you can take to come to terms with why you are not relating hard work to earnings. Start exploring the Fashion world and get a realistic view of what goes into being a fashion designer. Try not to anticipate "hassles" as you've mentioned. You will eventually learn how to manage things with more life and social experience.

I hope this helps and I wish you all the best !
