Hi Daniel,
My colleague shared some great advice, and I'd like to add a bit more. It's a good idea to get ready for your coursework even before it starts. If you know your class schedule ahead of time, try to get a head start on the reading. If the syllabus isn't available yet, you can contact the professor or TA. This way, you'll be on top of things when classes begin.
Also, consider setting up study sessions, even if you think you might not need them. You can study with classmates or use the professor's office hours. There's always something to discuss with your instructor. This will help you understand the material better and show the professor you're eager to learn and make the most of your time and tuition.
Hope this helps!

Hi Daniel. In college, you'll face a more rigorous academic workload. One of the most important things to do is to establish a regular study routine. College classes often require more time and effort than high school, so it's helpful to set aside a specific time each day to study. It doesn't have to be hours on end, just 1-2 hours each day can make a big difference. By making study time a habit, you'll avoid procrastination and feel more confident about your coursework.
It's also important to actively engage with the material you’re learning. Instead of just reading your textbooks or highlighting information, try to take notes in your own words or explain what you're learning to someone else. This will help you understand the material better and remember it longer.
Good time management is key in college because you'll have a lot of different things to juggle, like assignments, exams, and social activities. One of the best ways to stay on top of everything is by using a planner or digital calendar to keep track of deadlines and upcoming tasks.
Another important habit is minimizing distractions. Try to find a quiet space to study, like a library. Turn off your phone notifications or use apps that block distractions so you can focus better.
By developing these habits early, you'll be better prepared for the challenges of college and feel more in control of your studies.
