When applying for internships, especially within the forensics behavioral field, what are some things I should look out for during the application process ?

Once I finish my degree, I am wanting to go into the behavioral analysis unit for the FBI. I am currently a registered behavior technician and I work within the applied behavior analysis field, and was wondering if my experience within my current role would also benefit my career goal. Along with this, find some of the best places to apply to internships that can increase the likelihood of me being able to achieve my dream career.

The first thing you need to understand is FBI "Profilers" In BAU are Special Agents. This means they have gone through the hiring process and worked in Field Offices as criminal investigators prior to transferring to BAU. The BAU selection is tough and very much reliant on your success as a Special Agent. Your previous career will help get you a leg up, but your success as a Special Agent will count more. At this point you are better off checking into the Special Agent hiring process and seeing the Special Skills area to assist with that hiring process before tayloring your work experience to get into BAU.
