Which would you recommend? Welders & Solderer OR Auto body repairs?
What should I chose? Mechanics or Welding? I'm interested in both but I can only chose one for now. Any recommendations?

Hello Isabella!
They are both valuable trades and can both offer a comfortable living. You could work your way to owner/operator of your own business of either. If you're interested in welding, I believe there is more room for growth in that industry. Sure, you could start as a welder. You could then expand to a CWI, welding engineer, metallurgist, welding educator, etc. Choosing welding doesn't necessarily mean you will be under a hood your entire career. Or you can stick to welding. There are many sectors in welding as a welder where you can make well into a six figure salary. Certain sectors of welding are hard on your body though. Always use your PPE and protect your lungs and eyes.

I personally would choose a mechanic. They are begging for mechanics where I live.

The choice is really up to you. If it were me, I'd go with welding because that's what I like, and I don't know much about mechanics. Both fields can connect later on once you have some experience. Think about which one aligns more with your dream job and start with that.
