Roopa’s Answer
As a mom of a college student who attended an out-of-state school, I saw my child join academic, dance, and mentoring clubs. She made some of her best friends there. Colleges have many clubs for different interests, and this is where you can find your group of friends.

Hi Miles,
While I hated the very idea of networking in college, here is what I an introvert did. Check out the various student run organizations at you college. They usually have days where clubs "table" showing off what they do and recruiting new members. There's also the option of joining fraternities, but I never did that so I cant really comment. If your professors hold office hours I found it very useful to meet with them, usually the ones that did so where the ones with enough intellect but not too much ego to ask for help.
