Hi Antony,

I think real estate is a great industry with a lot of career options!

I would tap your personal contacts to see if you know anyone who works in that industry and ask them about volunteering in their office a few hours a week, or if they would consider a few mentoring sessions so you could ask questions about how everything works.

And in the meantime, do some personal research - YouTube videos on Real Estate for Beginners, etc.

Good luck!

Lisa recommends the following next steps:

Go to an “Open House” in your neighborhood to meet the listing agent and ask them questions.
Do online research about the industry and career path.
Volunteer at a real estate office a few hours a week to learn what’s involved.
Then update your resume so it reflects your research and activities.

Hi Anthony,

Great question! Applying for internships without experience can seem overwhelming, but don't worry. Many companies expect interns to be new to the field, so you're not alone. Here are a few tips to help you get started:

1) If you haven't yet, create a LinkedIn profile. Connect with people in the real estate industry in your area. It's a fantastic way to build your network and make important connections.
2) Use job search sites like Indeed, LinkedIn, and ZipRecruiter to find and apply for internships. Make sure your resume is ready to go.

You've got this!
