Is becoming a psychiatric Nurse Practitioner "worth" it in your opinion?

That is my goal and in my state I could practice independently. I'm just a little worried about the career risks that come with it.

There is a big demand for psychiatric nurse practitioners. Even though I'm not one, I wish I could become one without having to go back to school.
