How do medical schools view students who start at community college before transferring to a university #Fall25?

I’m considering starting at a community college for the first two years to save money before transferring to a university. Since I hope to pursue medicine, I want to understand how medical schools view this path and whether it affects competitiveness.

Thank you comment icon There is no widespread bias against community college credits in medical school admissions, but you really need to call some particular medical schools to see where each stands on this. Hi Abdishakur,

Each medical school has slightly different requirements with regards to pre-requisites. Some will not care where you passed the course, some will not accept community college course credits, some might have a limit as to how many CC credits you can use. You need to find out from each medical school you might consider, what the exact requirements are.
