I agree with the others who have responded to this question. Nursing school can be challenging at times, but it is also very rewarding.
You will learn many lessons along the way that you will carry throughout your career.
I agree that finding a part-time job to gain experience is very important. This will give you experience that you will not get directly in nursing school. I would also advise paying close attention to how the healthcare industry uses technology to aid in patient care. With AI and technology changing so fast, it will keep you in the lead as a nurse. Sadly, those nurses who fall behind have not been able to catch up with the fast-changing computer systems that are used in healthcare facilities these days. Keeping up with technology is a must as a nurse. Good luck!

A career in nursing is a wonderful choice, offering job stability and a chance to make a real difference in people's lives. To see if it's right for you, try volunteering or working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). This entry-level role usually only requires a high school diploma or GED and gives you a great start in healthcare. Nursing is also very flexible, many nurses use their early years to "test drive" different areas before settling into a long-term focus.
While nursing school can be tough, it's definitely doable with the right mindset and preparation. The curriculum is challenging, but many students find that managing time and adapting to the unique structure is the key. Unlike many other majors where you can succeed by memorizing facts, nursing exams use questions that present a scenario with multiple "correct" answers, and you must use clinical judgment to select the most correct or safest option.
Another challenge with nursing school is that nursing students must juggle balancing coursework, hands-on practice in labs, and real-world experience in clinical rotations. Some subjects like Pathophysiology and Pharmacology are tough due to the volume of information.
Despite these challenges, students who stay organized and use active study techniques often graduate successfully and pass their licensing exams. You can do it!
Best of luck!

Nursing school is a special journey. The more effort you put into learning, the more you'll gain from it. It can be challenging because you'll be caring for patients alongside doctors. But if you stay dedicated, I'm confident you'll succeed. Wishing you the best!

Nursing school is definitely challenging, but it’s absolutely doable with the right approach. I’m currently in an accelerated BSN program and set to graduate in December. What’s helped me most is working closely with classmates—forming study groups and sharing resources. If you don’t have prior experience, I’d also recommend getting a part-time job as a tech or nursing assistant on a hospital floor you’re interested in. It really helps connect what you learn to real-world practice.
