As a teenager in Pakistan, what skills should I acquire in order to land myself in a good university?

I'm a ninth grader and interested in flexible fields that are computer affiliated. I was thinking about joining the top computer universities in Pakistan in the future, like NUST, that are government funded. Of course I'm also looking for unique career options but at hand, my current education is more important. If you can think of anything that might help, please feel free to reply.

Anton Jones’s Answer

When aspiring to gain admission into prestigious universities like NUST (National University of Sciences and Technology), achieving outstanding results in Matriculation/O-Levels examinations is absolutely crucial for success in the preliminary merit assessment process.

Students aiming for these institutions should place a high degree of importance on developing a strong foundation in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science, as these subjects are key indicators of academic potential. Furthermore, it is highly advisable to begin preparing for the NUST Entrance Test (NET) early on.

This preparation should include becoming thoroughly familiar with the question paper patterns typically seen in the ECAT examination, while simultaneously concentrating your studies on the FSc/A-Level syllabus to ensure comprehensive readiness for the entrance examination.

Best wishes,
