Hi Haley! It's great to hear about your career path; helping others is so rewarding. While I'm not a nurse, I can share some study tips that worked well for me in college. Staying organized and keeping up with assignments is key. You'll probably have readings and tasks to do before class, and even if they're not graded, they're very helpful. Everyone has their own way of taking notes, so think about what worked for you in high school and use that in college. I liked downloading reading materials or slides to my tablet and taking notes directly on them, but pen and paper or computer notes can work just as well.

When it comes to exams, start studying early! You'll usually know the exam schedule ahead of time. My routine was to organize my notes and materials two weeks before an exam. Then, a week before, I'd set aside time each day to review. This way, you can go over the material several times instead of cramming at the last minute. The more time you give yourself to prepare, the better you'll do! Hope this helps, and feel free to ask if you have more questions.

Start by considering why you want to be a nurse. Think about how this differs from becoming a doctor or a physician's assistant, especially in pediatrics. Research job opportunities for all three paths. Becoming a doctor takes longer and costs more but offers a high reward. Physician's assistants are in high demand and can often work in roles similar to doctors, with a shorter training period and good pay. If pediatrics is your passion, few other fields will be as fulfilling. It's normal to feel overwhelmed, but try to keep your focus on your ultimate goal. You can do it!
