How have sports business professionals found a balance in work-life without a regular 9-5 job while still pursuing a passion based career alongside a busy life?
I would love to work within the sports industry post-graduation. I am prepared to work long hours and weekends, but I would love to learn how current professionals balance this!

Hi Natalie,
Work life balance is very important and is something a lot of workplaces strive to do. In my case, my firm offers recreational leagues for various sports. I am currently in the soccer team for the company I work at and we have games once a week in the evening. As you progress and settle into your job, you will make time for things that matter to you. It may not be the same amount of time that's being dedicated to it, but you will find time.

Thank you for your question. I am glad to know you have the passion in sports industry. Firstly, you have to find a time management tool to help, eg MS outlook, Google Calendar, phone Calendar, etc.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Put down the time you have to work
2. Assign some time for exercise.
3. Make sure you have enough sleep.
4. Allocate some time for your leisure and family and friends gathering
Hope this help! Good luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

Many people in the sports business have discovered that work-life balance is about finding a rhythm that works for them, not just sticking to a 9-to-5 schedule. Since the job often involves nights, weekends, and travel, they plan personal time during quieter moments, set healthy limits, and make sure to prioritize their family, health, and relationships. They also look for jobs and companies that fit their long-term goals and lifestyle, understanding that passion alone won't stop burnout. By seeing their career as just one part of a fulfilling life, they can enjoy their work while still having time for what truly matters.

Balancing work and life is personal. As a high school football coach and sales leader, my weekends and nights can be busy. To manage, I make sure to set aside time for what matters most. This job isn't around the clock, so it's important to find a balance that suits you. Schedule time on your calendar to enjoy moments with family and friends.
