How do other students study I have been in a homeschool/charter school my whole life, and I always wondered how students study to memorize topics, not just pass tests. ?
I am in 16 and in 12th grade about to graduate, and I am going straight into a community college while I save money to attend my dream university.

Hi Julia. Everyone learns differently, but I've found that flashcards, study groups, and hands-on practice can really help. Flashcards are great for learning and testing yourself on terms and vocabulary. For things like solving math problems or building a robot, practicing hands-on is often the best way to learn the steps. Study groups are also helpful because explaining things to others can reinforce your understanding, and listening to others can help you grasp things you might be missing.

To improve your study habits, try making handwritten flashcards and reading them out loud. Use the same study location and color ink, like red, to help you remember better by visualizing the card and environment. Watch YouTube videos that summarize your topics and rewatch them until you understand.
Attend office hours or tutorials, even if you think you know the material. This helps build a relationship with your professors and they might offer extra tips on exam questions or important topics to focus on.
