What Are Some Relevant Nursing Career Paths and Job Opportunities for a 25M?

Greetings,

I would like to preface by saying I have no industry credentials nor nursing degrees. I do however have a background working as a personal caregiver.

Background and experience:

25M caregiver with hands-on experience providing personalized in-home support for seniors facing emotional and cognitive health challenges. Experienced in creating safe, calm, and supportive environments, assisting with activities of daily living such as medication reminders, personal care, meal preparation, mobility support, and accompanied walks. My approach centers on patience, empathy, professionalism, and adapting to my client’s physical and emotional needs.

In addition to direct care, I have supported clients with everyday technology needs, including smartphones, laptops, phone calls, text messaging, and online ordering. Built trust through reliability, respectful companionship, and clear communication, contributing to improved quality of life and daily functioning.

My passion for caregiving began when I supported a family member with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, an experience that deeply influenced my commitment to serving older adults. This experience confirmed my passion to care for others and inspired my interest in nursing, geriatric care, and healthcare.
