Hi Novem Jazz,
It's fantastic that you are already thinking about building your resume as you start your nursing career. Certificates can really boost your value by showcasing skills beyond your degree.

Here are some simple steps to help you earn online certificates and develop the right skills:

1. Begin with free health courses: Websites like Coursera, edX, and FutureLearn offer beginner-friendly certificates in public health, first aid, and patient care.

2. Focus on nursing skills: Look for certificates in Basic Life Support (BLS), infection control, and patient communication.

3. Embrace technology in healthcare: Try courses on electronic health records, telemedicine basics, or health informatics to show you are adaptable.

4. Build soft skills: Certificates in communication, empathy, and teamwork are valuable since nursing needs strong people skills.

5. Improve English for healthcare: Join medical English or healthcare communication courses to boost your confidence in a second language.

6. Keep track and update regularly: Organize your certificates and add them to your resume or LinkedIn profile as you earn them.

My Personal Suggestion on Skills to Invest In:

1. Clinical basics: First aid, CPR, patient safety

2. Digital health: Telemedicine, health informatics, data entry

3. Communication: Medical English, empathy, teamwork

4. Adaptability: Problem-solving and resilience, which are highly valued in nursing

Your past experiences already show your drive and determination. By adding these certificates, you will strengthen your profile. Step by step, you will build both confidence and credibility in the medical field. Wishing you all the very best for your future endeavors.
