How can I combine a BFA in Studio Art and Art Education minor to build a multi-passionate career as a tattoo artist and cosmetologist?

Hi everyone! I’m currently transitioning into a BFA in Studio Art with a minor in Art Education as a transfer student, but my ultimate career Vision isn't a traditional path. My dream is to merge fine art, beauty, and body art by building a dynamic career as both a licensed cosmetologist and a professional tattoo artist.

I’m passionate about human canvases, self-expression, and client-centered art. I want to make sure my university degree directly feeds into my technical craft, client work, and long-term creative business goals.
I’d love to hear from creative entrepreneurs, studio owners, and multi-hyphenate artists on a few key areas:

Leveraging Fine Art & Education: How can skills in color theory, illustration, and art pedagogy give me a unique edge in client consultations, custom tattoo design, and hair/beauty styling?

Building a Dual Brand: What are the best strategies for managing a personal brand that bridges two distinct industries—tattooing and cosmetology—without confusing potential clients?

Apprenticeships & Business Strategy: How can I best document my university artwork to pitch myself for top-tier tattoo apprenticeships while balancing my existing creative work?

Thank you so much for your guidance and support!
