Hello everyone! I am currently an Intermediate of Commerce (I.Com) student who has also completed a technical program in full-stack web development (focusing on the MERN stack, JavaScript, and Tailwind CSS).

Because my background spans both business/commerce fundamentals and modern software engineering, I am trying to figure out the best strategic pathway for my career. Should I look for entry-level roles that strictly lean toward software development, or are there specific hybrid niches—such as fintech, e-commerce platforms, or Business-to-Business (B2B) SaaS solutions—where combining commerce knowledge with coding skills provides a distinct competitive advantage?

What portfolio projects or networking steps would you recommend to effectively showcase both skill sets to potential employers?
