I like both Biology and Maths, but I don't want PCMB burnout. then what subjects should I choose in 11th?
I'm a Class 10 CBSE student deciding between subject combinations for Class 11–12, and I'm torn between two paths. I'm genuinely interested in biology and enjoy understanding how living systems work, and I'm also naturally strong in Mathematics and find it engaging. However, I'm concerned about taking both—most students who choose PCMB report feeling overwhelmed by the pressure, and I want to avoid that suffocation.
I'm interested in engineering, but I'm unsure whether I should go with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths), PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), or push through with PCMB. Which combination actually supports engineering careers? And what engineering fields can I explore with each option—especially if I take PCB instead of PCM?

Hello Ketki! First, kudos to you for thinking about your future and your educational needs. You are right, that you can't learn everything at once. Work with your advisor to decide which courses work best to meet your long-term goals and interests. There is no right or wrong answer here -you can study any and all of these subjects in due time.
Consider: is there a teacher in one or more of these subjects will who challenge you the most? Is one of these courses offered now that won't be available later, or vice versa? You might want to talk to each of the instructors to learn a little bit about the course they will teach to help you decide which direction to take.
You do not need to feel any urgency to complete any of these courses. Focus more on what you will learn - how to analyze a situation, how to break a problem into smaller problems - how to find and employ the correct principle in any given situation. That's what you will continue to learn if you pursue an engineering degree.
