Career as an officer?

Hello Im writing this as an assignment from school on learning more about the career you want.Ive always been curious about being a police officer and wanted to know if anyone could help me answer some doubts. For example how is work life, is it complex, how does day to day look like and etc mostly to get an insight view into the job while also knowing if being a police officer is a career with many opportunities.
