Idris’s Answer

In any sports, it takes sacrifice and commitment.  Practice, practice and more practice.  Always have the mindset that somewhere in the world, there is someone practicing harder than you.  When you are playing video game, there is someone else practicing.  So work on your craft, eat well, take care of your body and stay focused.

John’s Answer

A typical day for a sports person should start early morning. The only way in succeed in the sports is practice, practice and more practice. It is always essential to have our mind fir and healthy. We do the workout to keep our physic strong, but miss or fail to keep our mind strong. Sports will not just the winning. We should be equally prepared for loss.

One of the good practice to concentrate and to stay positive is Yoga and meditation. Lot of the sports person do that now and they are benefitting from it. Also keeping a good diet will keep you active and focused. I know a good and healthy food will ride your success. If you don’t trust me on this, look at the successful sportsmen. Yes of course they practice, but at the same time, Mediation, Yoga and good diet in their list.

So stay Positive, practice. all the best.

Jordan’s Answer

It depends on if I am on the road competing or at home. Golf is my career, so even at home on an ‘off-week’ it’s a full-time job. I am at the course typically from 8 to 5, both working with my coach and playing. I exercise every day as well, fitness is a big component of golf. I think another thing most people don’t realize are the non-golf related business items my team and I handle on any given day; I could have a Foundation Board meeting, or a conference call with the TOUR as a policy board member, or commitments with my amazing partners. All are very important, but it is certainly a balance to be sure that I’m both satisfying my business obligations and focusing on my performance goals as well.

Narayan’s Answer

Hello Gidien,

After reading Idris' answer, the first thing that came to my mind was an old adage "Practice makes Perfect". You have to consistently hone your skills over and over again to be the best in your field. Also, you need to be focused and driven. You cannot take things for granted at any cost and should try and minimize distractions.

A typical day for an athlete should be somewhat like the scene from the movie Rocky (1976) where Mr. Sylvester Stallone wakes up at 4 AM and trains hard till the end of the day (with "Eye of the Tiger" playing in the background).

Good luck with your future endeavors.

Best Regards,

Narayan

Narayan recommends the following next steps:

Get good sleep (wake up early and sleep early) and eat a healthy balanced diet.
Stay positive at all costs.
Set short-term and long-term goals.
