Bryant’s Answer

It goes by 2 ways for this

  1. Gaining more Education such as more experience an knowledge within the field to move up towards management or higher role. As things change it is better to be ahead of the curve instead of behind. Working hard earlier pays off since people will see your work up close and the progression.
  2. Networking- Building relationships with those you work with as they will be a support system for you. By learning the environment you can ask your management on areas you have strengths and weakness. Helping others out once you have established yourself in the field will show that you are paying it forward and making a positive impact

Mario’s Answer

If the goal is to be more of an engineer within the automotive field pursuing courses in mathematics and physics would be the best course of action. In college you would follow a mechanical engineering track and pursue interships at reputable companies. If you would like to be more hands-on and being a mechanic there are plenty of trade schools that certify you and they work with dealerships to secure a job.
