There are a lot of job within the finance field. It will depend on what type of finance you want to work with whether it be at a small company doing finance or working in financial trading or being a financial advisor.

Just wanted to add that I started with a Finance degree and ended up in Business Intelligence and Sales Operations. A Finance major is a great starting point as you understand how a business runs.

Finance majors have a large variety of jobs! Looking at what my friends who have studied finance have done, they have:

Gone into finance jobs (Valuation Work, Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Sales & Trading, Wealth & Asset Management, Financial Planning, Financial Advising, Insurance)

Accounting (Audit/Assurance, Tax, etc.)

Consulting (Strategy, Risk, etc.)

and worked in jobs including the business or operations side of a tech company, working for non-profits, and more.

While many finance majors go into finance jobs, the skillset can be extremely applicable to most business-related jobs

There are many jobs in the fields of finance. Common jobs include working at an insurance company, for a bank, or working at a business in the finance department. If you are interested in this field, I would talk to your career counselor to understand the options you have as a young prospective student.
