Hi,
I have worked with Dell for over 15 years and yes we are totally cool... :)
I love working at Dell...I would suggest figuring out what you want to do with your education and career...then get the best grades you can, pick a good college and then try to get an internship with Dell when you can...I have worked with a lot of interns and most of them get hired by Dell after their internship if they want to.
www dot dell dot com for more information on the company, history, Mr. Dell, etc...
Good luck! :)

Dell Technologies is a phenomenal place to work!
I have been here for 17 years now and I never expected it to be a lifelong career when I started.
I got into Dell as a temporary employee when I was 20 and worked my way up the ranks without a college degree.
Hard work, resourcefulness, determination, and an optimistic and collaborative attitude will get you far at Dell.
Start volunteering in your community to gain experience. Experience from volunteer efforts can be directly related to job experience in an interview.
Everything I learned from waiting tables as a teen taught me how to treat others.
It taught me how to care about others in a real, genuine, and honest way and how to overcome adversity.
Use that experience to shape who you are and who you want to be.
The more you care about the impact you are making in others lives, the more successful you will be.
Hope to work with you in the future!

I'm working for Dell Europe for 10+ years. Dell is already bigger than HP or Lenovo in major parts of business in terms of revenue or margin and long term we are aiming to become no.1 in market share as well. If you want to join our team, I recommend to take internship or start any available job at Dell. Even if you will not feel perfectly comfortable in your first position there, it's a huge company with lot's and lot's of growth opportunities.

Morgan’s Answer

Dell is a progressive employer at the forefront of work place diversity, supporting remote roles and offers flexibility to pursue new opportunities to gain new experience throughout your career. If you come to work for Dell you will have the opportunity to work with people from all over the globe. Dell is very authentic and ethical. Dell invests in team member growth and allows career advancement enabling team members career paths within Dell.

The hiring process at Dell can be a bit confusing because the job titles vary in a way that someone new to Dell may not understand how much experience it would take to be considered for the position. If you find a position you are interested in, we would recommend cross referencing the job titles on sites like LinkedIn to see what types of experience is required for the opening.

Laura’s Answer

The first question is, what do you want to do at Dell? There are many different types of opportunities, such as sales, eCommerce/online and software engineers, so it'd be helpful to identify what area you are interested in and get a degree related to that field. Many people have started their careers in sales and branched out into other areas. Regardless of what career focus you decide Dell has many paths to go down, the common factor is being passionate about the type of work you are doing.

Laura recommends the following next steps:

Research careers at Dell https://jobs.dell.com
If you're not sure what your passionate about, internships are a great way to check out different organizations within Dell. See what's available here: https://jobs.dell.com/internships

Dell does a great job at diversifying what it does, covering many areas of technology and it keeps reinventing itself. That makes it pretty resilient and I am pretty sure it will be around for a long time. I myself have been there for 21 years and have had the chance to work on many areas.

Jobs can be found here: https://jobs.dell.com/

If you are in college, I would also look at doing an internship here as well. There are many opportunities for that over the summers.

Vinay’s Answer

I think while its very difficult to answer if Dell will be at the top of market when you grow old but i can surely tell that if you work with a plan , you can definitely join Dell some day. What you need to do is first understand what are the potential opportunities you can take up in Dell and what are the skill set required for those opportunities. Find out the skill gap (Education, technical etc) and start working on the same. Identify any internship or job opportunity against which you can apply.

Vinay recommends the following next steps:

Familiarize yourself with Dell's line of bussiness
Look for the possible opportunities and develop your skillset
Get in touch with people who are already working in Dell and can help you prepare for the interviews

Emily’s Answer

Dell is very invested in the future and keeps your generation in mind when it develops new products.  I would suggest doing really well in school, work to go to a good college and then think of what you'd like to start doing in your career.  Don't be afraid to start with any job to get your foot in the door and the longer you work, the more you can figure out what you want to do and where you want to go.  Don't think you have to have everything figured out when you start.  Your career can change the longer you work and Dell is a great place to explore the IT world and they really encourage you to grow in your career.

Ryan’s Answer

Absolutely, Dell will still be on top. I've been with Dell for 14.5 years and have seen so many changes over my time here. Dell is positioning itself to be at the top of the market for many more decades to come through organic growth strategies and many important acquisitions we have made in the last several years, such as the purchase of EMC.

Some other facts you may not know about Dell is that we are #1 in monitor market share globally for over 5 years, #1 in North America for over 18 years, #1 in Australia for over 10 years, #1 in France for over 3 years, #1 in UK for over 4 years. Dell is also #1 in storage & Workstations market share.

If you're really interested in gaining employment with Dell, focus on your education and get a college degree in whatever you are passionate about. You can either start with an internship at Dell during college or go directly to Dell for employment when you graduate. Simply go to https://jobs.dell.com/ and apply.

The data shows that, in the fourth quarter of 2021, Dell held a 19.5 percent share of global PC unit shipments, an increase from the 16.6 percent share the company held in the fourth quarter of 2021. Dell sits as the number three PC vendor in the world following Lenovo and HP Inc.
And the market is also experiencing a long-term fundamental shift from on-premise hardware to cloud solutions. As a response, Dell Technologies has advanced efforts in cloud infrastructure solutions to simplify hybrid cloud settings through its company VMware, a cloud computing and software virtualization company currently worth 65 billion U.S. dollars.
