What are some careers/ majors that I can do that use and deal with math skills and abilities?

I am asking you this because Math is my favorite subject in school and It is something that Im good at. I want to pursue a career in it, but don't know what a good major would be for it. #computer-science #business #career #science #education #accounting #health

Then you can go into a variety of business majors such as Accounting, Finance, Marketing as well as you can try computer science, although that uses a lot of logic also.


If you want to pursue something else that is called being an actuary. They use a lot of quantative math. It is the highest paying profession , close to or better than software engineers and computer science college graduates. There is an exam you would have to pass and a lot of insurance companies and risk management companies look for actuaries

There are a number of majors that you may want to consider. You may major in Mathematics, or many subjects under the umbrella of business such as: Accounting, Finance, Management, or simply Business Administration.

Thank you comment icon You also can look into Computer Science. This major opens up career doors, such as Bio-Robotics , Phylogenetic analysis and Bioinformatics. Your starting salary right out of University will peg around 80,000 USD. Maryam

In addition to accounting/finance/etc, you can also consider anything Engineering related, as it will typically involve a lot of math.


That said, if you're still in highschool right now you have many options... just keep taking as much math as possible, and it will keep a lot of doors open.


Math itself has few career options, oddly enough. But it's a really useful tool for a large number of fields.
