Christine’s Answer

It will take you 2 years to get an RN, approximately 2 years to obtain your BSN, 1 to 2 years for your MSN, and finally at least 2-3 years to complete your PhD in Nursing. Prior to starting Nursing school, many schools require that you have completed a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification prior to entering the program. Acceptance into Nursing School is very competitive, and high grades are a must to compete.

Kelly’s Answer

I completely disagree with the previous answer, as Ph.D. programs are generally 4-7 years. If one drops to a DHA (doctor of healthcare administration) or DNP (nursing practice), which is generally practical application and less theoretical coursework.
